Steven Humphreys

Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Vitaprotech

Steven Humphreys was appointed Vitaprotech Deputy Chief Executive Office in September 2024 with the Vitaprotech and Hirsch merger.

Mr. Humphreys was appointed Hirsch (formerly Identiv) CEO in September 2015 and was a member of its Board of Directors from 1996 - 2024. Mr. Humphreys brings over three decades of industry experience as a leader of security technology companies, focusing on government-grade logical and physical access control, secure credentials and digital identity solutions, and RFID and mobile app software. The companies he’s led include SCM Microsystems (early developer of CAC/PIV readers and apps), ActivCard (CAC card specification, platform and apps), Hirsch/Hirsch (low-cost/high-security access control), and others.

Mr. Humphreys holds a B.S. degree from Yale University and M.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Stanford University.

Mark Allen

Chief Executive Officer, Hirsch

Mark Allen was appointed Hirsch Chief Executive Officer in September 2024.

Mr. Allen has been with Hirsch (previously Identiv) since 2003, most recently as General Manager, Premises (January 2016), and prior to that, in a product manager role. He has over 30 years of practical experience in technology at start-ups and public companies, ranging from programming, software development, and engineering to business development, R&D, and operations.

Prior to joining Hirsch, Mr. Allen was Founder and President at Preferred Business Solutions Inc. from June 1999 to September 2003. Prior to Preferred Business Solutions, he served as VP Engineering at Access 360 from August 1994 to June 1999. His previous positions also include Software Development Manager at The Orange County Register and Lead Programmer Analyst at Security Pacific Financial Services.

Mr. Allen majored in Computer Science, Math, Commerce, and Physics at Kings Norton in the United Kingdom.

Mike Taylor

Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing

Mike Taylor joined Hirsch in July 2020 as Vice President of Global Sales. Mr. Taylor brings more than 20 years of long, deep sales and channel-building experience and leadership across access control and video, in both enterprise businesses and progressive early-movers.

At AMAG Technology, Mr. Taylor served as Vice President of North American Sales where he led strategic sales and growth initiatives focused on expanding adoption of the company’s technologies. Prior to AMAG, he ran North American Sales for Brivo Systems and Milestone Systems, and most recently led Global Sales for Razberi Technologies.

Tanya Freedland

Vice President of Global Human Resources and Talent Acquisition

Tanya Freedland was appointed Hirsch Vice President of Global Human Resources and Talent Acquisition in December 2022. Ms. Freedland is a top performing, strategic human resources leader with 25 years of HR and talent acquisition experience. She is known for developing and leading innovative solutions to reorganize and streamline HR functions to maximize performance, profitability, and effectiveness. She has a strong commitment to driving cultural transformation, increasing employee engagement, developing leaders, and retaining employees while fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture.

Ms. Freedland has overseen efforts that have resulted in: more effective and streamlined talent acquisition practices that better leverage technology; company wide diversity and inclusion strategies, including initiatives to improve diversity at the executive level; redesigned retirement programs; initiatives to harmonize compensation and benefit programs to promote efficient internal movement of talent; and more thoughtful, comprehensive talent management and talent development programs.

Steve Luther

Vice President, Global Operations and Supply Chain

Steve Luther joined Hirsch in September 2022 as Vice President of Global Operations and Supply Chain. Mr. Luther has more than 30 years of manufacturing/operations and supply chain leadership experience in the contract manufacturing and OEM products industry. 

Mr. Luther most recently served as Vice President of Global Supply Chain at Nice North America (formerly Nortek) where he also served as Vice President of Global Manufacturing leading operations in China and North America. Prior to that, Mr. Luther held Sr. Operational Leadership positions within top tier contract manufacturing companies, such as Flex and Sanmina.

Having "green fielded" two high tech manufacturing operations, Mr. Luther enjoys building highly motivated organizations to achieve cutting-edge quality, innovation, and execution, while maintaining a competitive cost structure.
