Hirsch: A Legacy of Trust and Innovation

Since its founding in 1981, Hirsch has been a trusted provider of physical access control system (PACS) solutions, trusted by the U.S. government and beyond. On April 30, 2009, Identiv (then SCM Microsystems) acquired Hirsch Electronics Corp., continuing its legacy of robust, secure, and feature-rich PACS solutions designed for the highest-security environments. In February 2018, Identiv expanded its video technology offerings with the acquisition of 3VR Security, Inc., a leader in video analytics and data insights. This was followed in January 2019 by the acquisition of the Freedom, Liberty, and Enterphone brands from Viscount Systems, further enhancing its security portfolio.

In September 2024, Vitaprotech acquired Identiv’s physical and cybersecurity business units. The resulting security company relaunched under the innovative, legacy brand name, Hirsch, solidifying its position as a global leader in physical security. While our PACS solutions are built for the most secure facilities, they remain affordable and adaptable for a wide range of installations. Today, Hirsch continues to blend its storied history with cutting-edge technology to empower a secure, connected world.
